The owner of the apartment is a busy person who spends a significant part of his time traveling. Our assignment was to design his apartment (73 sq m) in style of an apart-hotel, that would be familiar and convenient for the client. Since parents are visiting the owner from time to time, it was also necessary to provide a guest bedroom and the possibility of comfortable use of the apartment by several people at the same time. The interior is designed in a modern minimalist style and is based on the achieving a sense of greater internal volume. Owning many windows, as well as high ceilings – make the apartment very bright, and our design solutions emphasize this effect. The design solution implies a minimum number of walls and partitions, the doors have floor to ceiling shape, which allows to eliminate visual obstacles inside the apartment.
The kitchen shares a common space with the living room, however is separated from it by a kitchen island with three chairs Behind the kitchen island, there is a large room with a sofa, coffee table, pouf, aroma fireplace and TV area. The zoning of the living room is carried out taking into account the location of the windows – to make the most of the natural insolation. Window sills can be used as additional setting spaces – we made them wide and equipped with comfy pillows, to provide cozy areas directly by the windows.
The guest bedroom is separated from the living room by a glass partition with a wide swing door from floor to ceiling, visually increasing the area of the room and providing its with additional lighting in the daytime. Between the glass partition of the guest bedroom and the sofa in the living room, there is a door leading to the master bedroom. This area is visually separated from the rest of the space – to ensure privacy and maximum comfort of the owner. The bedroom has a large double size bed with bedside tables, a wardrobe and a vanity desk.
. It’s equipped with a bathroom that accommodates sink, toilet and shower. To provide even more comfort, we used standard hanging textile curtains for the sleeping area and made the window sill as narrow as possible – to increase visually the glazing and achieve wider lighting angle for the room.
